Coming to Zoar Outdoor this fall is a wilderness survival course that will teach you some basics of to how to stay alive should you find yourself lost or alone in the woods. We’ll teach you how to make fire, build shelters and identify some wild edibles and medicinal plants.
On Saturdays starting October 15th and running through November 19th, our partner, Earthworks, will cover basic shelter building, fire starting skills (yes, you might even get to rub sticks together to make a spark), and identifying basic wild edibles. We’ll go well beyond theory, so be prepared to get down on the ground and try some new skills! The course runs from 10:30am to 4:30pm on Saturday, and includes lunch.
For added adventure, why not pair wilderness survival with a Zip Line Canopy Tour to create a fun and educational full-weekend experience. Kick off the weekend with the Earthworks Survival Skills Course then spend the night in on of our Cabin Tents for a rugged, yet comfortable overnight stay. Or if you’re feeling tired out after spending a full day outdoors, opt for a room in our Hawk Mountain Lodge.
The next day, enjoy a 3-hour adventure where you’ll traverse 11 different zip lines, 3 rappels and 2 suspended bridges. Click here to learn more about this new package or give us a call at 800 532-7483 and we would be happy to help you put together a custom package.
