Zoar Outdoor’s Diversity Initiative
We want to be as transparent as possible. Our staff are constantly learning and educating ourselves on how we as an outdoor industry can be better at creating an inclusive environment. Our main goal is to provide fun outdoor adventures for everyone.
Here are a few action steps we have taken so far:

In 2020, we had made a connection with Multicultural BRIDGE – an amazing grassroots organization located in Lee, Massachusetts. They’re a catalyst for justice, social change and building community. We see BRIDGE as a vital organization in our area. Their dedication to promoting mutual respect and understanding is important to us. In response to this, we raised awareness and contributions from our guests, and our management team also enjoyed BRIDGE’s Cultural Competency Course. In 2022, we partnered with The Rusty Anvil. They are an educational organization reconnecting QTBIPOC individuals to their place in nature through mindful wilderness trips while serving as a platform for cultural transformation. Through forest bathing backcountry trips, tracking workshops, and youth wilderness immersions The Rusty Anvil seeks to build a supportive outdoor community that weaves together networks of QTBIPOC folks both on and off the trail, and inspires confident outdoor leaders of color.
