Deerfield Valley Canopy Tours had a zippy second year. We expanded from nine ziplines to eleven, adding the popular Hickory Run and Touchdown Zip to the course, and made other physical improvements such as re-grading the roads and building a boardwalk at the top of the course to protect the fragile tree roots on the path leading to Initiation Zip.
Maybe you’ve seen them on the river: a tiny boat, a bright-colored helmet, some tricky maneuvers and an effortless roll through the pounding waves. Intimidating? Intriguing? Exciting? For many, the sport of whitewater kayaking is an opportunity to use the river in a whole new way.
As the season draws to a close, we like to look back and ask the question: who rafts with us? Like every year, the 2010 rafting season saw all ages and abilities, everyone from families and school groups to bachelor parties.

Every year, for one day, we get to one of Vermont’s hidden gems - the West River. The West River is a perfect mix of adventure and leisure - it has a little bit more adventure than the Zoar Gap and is a little mellower than the Dryway.
