Holtwood Whitewater Park

By 829 Dev

Last weekend I went to the new Holtwood Whitewater Park in PA on the Susquehanna River.  A big thank you to Jeremy for reaching out to me about making the trip down. If it wasn’t for him I would of stayed home and cleaned the garage or something horrible like that.  Jeremy picked me up in VT and we headed down together. His folks live about 30 minutes away and they let me stay with them and fed me delicious food and wine! Thank you!!!

This park is so much fun. The top wave is like a mini garb with 2 sweet shoulders and moving extremely fast. It gives up big air but is pretty flushy. Blunts would stick but super tricky to stick anything else. I didn’t care at all about flushing. I spent hours surfing this wave and had the time of my life. It was a wild ride and I loved every minute of it and every flush.

The next spot was a wave/hole that was pretty fast and was a bit flushy but you could stick blunts, loops and cartwheels. Another great feature that they created.

The rodeo attracted lot’s of people who competed in a super fun low key event. The comp took place on both features and your combined score from both spots was how the winner was chosen.  The organizers did a fantastic job for the first ever Holtwood Rodeo! I’ll be going back for sure.

Holtwood Whitewater Park is going to have a lot of really good play boaters coming out of there.
