We get lots of questions when it comes to rafting. One of the ones that we hear most often is “What am I supposed to wear for a rafting trip?” It’s not every day that people go whitewater rafting, and if you’ve never been it can be tricky to know what to expect and what to wear. Have no fear, we’ve got you covered! Most of us here at Zoar are river folk and can give you lots of insight on appropriate attire. River rats take fashion very seriously, after all.
A lot of what we wear is personal preference, but on a warm, sunny day in July you’ll see most people wearing a variation of the same thing: usually it’s board shorts, sandals and a synthetic t-shirt. Sun’s out, guns out! Now although the weather may be warm we do recommend that you don’t wear cotton no matter the time of year. Cotton kills, they say – it gets wet, stays wet and keeps you cold. Brrrr!
