It was a crazy long winter here in VT. We had a ton of snow and really cold temps. I’m so happy to put the winter sporting gear away and bust out the kayaking gear. It took a few weeks in March to actually be able to get on the water. The ice shelves on the rivers were pretty bad. We now have been having mild temps like 40-50 degrees with some rain and the rivers are flowing ice free! I’ve only been out a few times since I’ve been working at a cross country ski shop. This week should be a great week for creeking and playing. It feels so good to be kayaking again! Once I get some more paddling in I’ll get a video put together from some creeking and play.
Here’s some photos from cold weather boating at Dummerchuck in VT taken by Anna Bruno.
Enjoy the start to a new season!
