We can custom design rock climbing classes and instructional programs for you or your group. Potential class topics include seconding a leader, lead climbing, aid climbing, and advanced climbing technique.
Our custom clinics can be as small as one person, or as large as twelve people.
Personal challenge, proper technique and risk management are the key elements in our approach to the exciting lifetime sport of rock climbing. Our location, within a short drive of several excellent climbing areas, assures lots of time on the rock. Our programs emphasize top-rope climbing where the rope is anchored by the instructor at the top of each climb. Students learn to climb and belay (protect each other with the rope) as well as to move smoothly and with minimal effort on the rock. Our progressions are designed to help students learn to climb competently on their own.
CLINIC GOALS
Custom climbing clinics give you an opportunity to set your own goals and work with a Zoar Outdoor rock climbing instructor to tailor your day on the rock.
CLASS SIZE
Our custom clinics can have 1 to 12 participants with a maximum student-to-instructor ratio of 6:1.
WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS CLINIC
Our custom climbing clinics are open to students 10 years old and older in reasonable physical condition and ready to learn an exciting sport.
WAIVERS
All participants will be required to read and sign a release of liability upon arrival. If you have any minor participants in your group, they will need to have a waiver signed by a legal guardian. If a legal guardian will not be available the day of the event, please contact us at least 2 weeks prior to the event so we may provide the waiver to you in advance.
