RAFTING BULLS BRIDGE ON THE HOUSATONIC RIVER IN CONNECTICUT

Top 3 Reasons to Go:
  1. Exciting springtime rafting only 2 hours from New York
  2. Our friendly professional guides make your day memorable
  3. Well maintained equipment including NRS and Maravia rafts

Located in the hills of northwestern Connecticut, Bulls Bridge on the Housatonic River holds some of the most challenging Class IV rapids and the most beautiful scenery in the state. We welcome rafters ages 16 and up on our Connecticut rafting trips.

Putting in under a covered bridge just downstream of a class V cataract, we quickly enter the Flume where the water races around a sharp bend and over a 7-foot ledge, emerging as froth and waves below. S-Turn is next with a tight move over a ledge which is immediately followed by Pencil Sharpener where grabby holes reach for the boat. Below, easier rapids lead to Powerhouse hole and the takeout rapid.

After lunch back at the covered bridge, we challenge the run for a second time, perfecting lines for the ultimate spring white water rafting experience in Connecticut!

“I just wanted to thank you and the whole team there for all of your help this weekend.  It was great!  The lodge was fantastic and Philip was really helpful and friendly.  The trip on Saturday was a lot of fun - our guide was Bill (with the blonde ponytail), who was totally outstanding.  His desire to have fun with us, yet also be very serious and safety, made the day really memorable.  I've been on several rafting trips at other places, and Bill is by far the best guide I ever had.”
