Summer has been going real well. Most of it has been spent at the cottage on Lake Ontario. We've been busy with friends and family visiting. There's been lot's of water skiing, sailing, golf, canoeing, fishing, eating, drinking and of course kayaking.
In between friends and family visiting I took two quick trips up to the Ottawa. The first trip the level was around 1 so Corner Wave was great. The second trip the level was -3/4 so Garb was in. It's been 4 years since I last surfed Garb. I forgot how fast, bouncy, and trashy it was. It's a super ab workout! I had two days on it and didn't want to leave but had to. I'm hoping to get one more trip up there before the season is over.
Crazy that summer is getting close to being over. I'm looking forward to the Fall it's by far the best paddling season in the North East. You get the best of both world's great creeking and great play.
If your near upstate NY Labor Day weekend plan on coming to Beaver Fest for some fun creek boating!
Here's a vid from some summer fun!
Till next time,
