Summer Adventures in Vermont

Summer Adventures in Vermont

by Adriana Isaza

Summer 2016 at Zoar Adventure Center in downtown Wilmington, Vermont is off to a warm start! As the summer bustle returns to Wilmington, vacationers from all over New England are stopping in to ZAC in search of adventure. Our retail shop is stocked with new summer gear, including SUPs, snorkels, paddling clothing, backpacks, and hiking equipment. Everything you need to go out and explore on the lake or the trails!

The Green Mountain Adventure Challenge had begun, and Zoar Adventure Center is excited to see the first few participants trickling in. Feel free to stop in if you're looking for equipment, stumped on a clue, or just need some snacks and refreshments. Good luck to all Challenge seekers!

For those looking for a more relaxing weekend, nothing quite fits the bill like a quiet kayak trip on Harriman Reservoir. Rentals for bikes, stand up paddleboards, and kayaks are $40 per day and include all necessary equipment (helmets, PFDs, paddles, etc.). Don't have a roof rack for your paddling gear? Not to worry - for just $8 more we can also provide a shuttle for you to and from the water. Paddle out to a secluded island for picnic lunch and swim or rent a mountain bike for a easy ride on the Hoot, Toot & Whistle trail that leaves right from ZAC's doorstep.

Come visit us at 36 West Main St., right in downtown Wilmington, VT!
